Highlight videos are an important aspect of the recruiting process since they allow coaches to evaluate a student athlete's performance. Typically, athletes mail or email coaches their highlight video to help improve their chance of getting noticed. What To Include
A good highlight video includes a series of clips lasting 4-6 minutes. Coaches know that the videos they received include clips picked out by the student athlete which is why backing up the highlight clips with additional full or partial game footage is also important. This allows coaches to see what you are doing throughout the entire game. Are you playing your position correctly? What are you doing when you are not the focus of the play? How do you react to teammates? Are you working hard on every play?
